Taltarni wholesale Dynamic range

Collaboration and connection characterise the strategy behind the reinvention of Taltarni’s wholesale range of wines. From the creation of The Patron in 2019, the team at CoLLECT worked closely with CEO Adam Torpy and Chief Winemaker Robert Heywood to develop a fresh brand identity that would create a sense of place and invite a wider audience to connect with the Taltarni brand.
Part of this brief was the creation of packaging for a modern yet sophisticated range of wines that would not only convey the beauty of the region in which the grapes are grown but honour the deep connection to that land that the people behind Taltarni share. The Victorian Pyrenees has often been described as one of the most beautiful wine-growing regions in Australia, and it was our mission to link the iconic Taltarni Cartouche, which bears the image of St Peter holding the keys to Heaven and Earth, with that land.
Our solution included the development of a label design that made the traditional Cartouche the focal point, and offset it with copper foil against uncoated, slate black paper to celebrate the environment in a contemporary way. Embossing and the juxtaposition of bright foil with the matte illustration introduces the audience to the sensory feast of enjoying the wine itself. Matte black screw caps branded with copper foil complete the still wine packaging.
The sparkling labels share a coordinating colour palette, while the shape of the label, with intricate embossing, celebrates the brand icon in a unique and memorable way. Breaking from the traditional hood, the sparkling wines are finished with glossy black muselets and a modern cigar band. Supporting marketing collateral is modern in design and incorporates images that invite the consumer to immerse themselves in the Heaven on Earth that epitomises the place that gives Taltarni wines life.
